The Extra Cost of Being a Woman

An article came out the other day about how women pay more for the same things as men. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this article, but as I read on, I had to agree. Women, if we open our eyes and take a closer look at the things around us, I think we will all see items where we are charged more than what a man would be charged for the same thing. Take shaving cream for example. Some women’s shaving cream costs significantly more than most male brands. Granted, there are some explanations for this, such as a rust-resistant aluminum-bottom can or more fragrance being added which could create a higher cost for the company. However, there are plenty of other products that don’t have much (if any) difference, but since they are the “women’s” version, they are more expensive. Overall, this is just something to be aware of and keep our eyes open for so you don’t always pay that “special” price for being female. Start looking things over a little more closely, do your research, and you may find that what you are looking for is available for a better price in a different container.
