Finding Peace in Your Place

Posted on August 16 2010

Do you find yourself wondering where God is in your situation? Do you feel abandoned by God? Are you angry with God for not hearing your prayers? I too have been in your shoes. Days can often feel unbearable; you spend countless hours wondering how God could allow your situation to become so desperate.

I want to tell you that God has not left you. He has always been by your side. He is in front of you and behind you. He is on your left and on your right. God has been walking with you in your lowest valley and has stood with you on your highest peak. He has not left you, nor has God forgotten about you. God desires for you to cry out to him in your time of need. Although He knows the pain you are experiencing, he desires conversation with you. Do you remember the pain Jesus experienced of Calvary?

If you are struggling with depression, the loss of a loved one, divorce or separation, job loss or any other major life situation, I want you to know today that God loves you and is with you. You are not walking alone. God will grant you the strength to endure your challenge. Consider a book by Jeff Minion titled The Land Between. Using biblical examples, Jeff demonstrates how these difficult times in our lives can be opportunities for growth. Although you may be facing difficult times, God is still with you and desires great things of you.
